These two photos are from the West End gallery in Corning NY. The one above is Oil the one below is watercolor. This Galley is all about small towns around the area and he beauty it can have ant any time in the year. As you can see by the first one it represents New York in the fall. It is done in oil paint. A well made choice because it looks as though the tress has texture to it. The tree appears to have a roughness to it much like bark on a tree would feel. And the grass looks dry as a resolute of the paint. The second one is done in watercolor and makes it look more like a dream. The reason this painting in ecstatically pleasing to the eye is because of its contrast. While the water looks clear and precise the trees are more transparent and questionable.
